Neco was devoted to tennis with all his heart and there is hardly a child on the Coast that he did not teach his first tennis shots. He began his professional career as a coach in his home tennis club - TK PORTOROŽ, where he and his players very quickly achieved resounding success in the then very strong competition of the former Yugoslavia.

• Mitja VATOVEC, finalist of the national championship of former Yugoslavia under 18 with Goran Ivanišević
• Jaka BOŽIČ, national champion of the former Yugoslavia in the under-12 and under-14 categories
